Look at the ‘O’ faces at this 40 Lafayette reunion, courtesy of Foam & Erica’s wedding! The wedding was beautiful and the weekend in Vermont was, as usual, not long enough. It was great to see everyone – hard to believe this was the first time we’d seen some of ya’ll since we moved out of Vermont oh so many years ago now. We had a great time! Our pictures are all online here.
Weekend highlights (other than the wedding, of course)
-Dinner at the Daily Planet with Kristin, Brandee & Tim
-Coming back to Kristin’s and being able to accurately guess what her morning entailed by the trail left on the floor ![]()
-Lake Champlain Chocolates, the waterfront, Vermont Sandwich Company & Maple Frozen Yogurt @ Dakin Farm – Yum! (No Cheese Traders for me this trip, though that’s probably a good thing!)
-Learning that my car can run on fumes and fumes alone – the Jetta, well – I learned about a week into its ownership that it can go approx 23 miles from the time the gas light comes on before sputtering dead. Low and behold, we pull into the Basin Harbor Club to park for the wedding and the light came on. Thinking that we were being smart about things, Nick and I decided around 11PM to miss the first part of the after party so that we could head out to get gas before things closed up at midnight….must be awhile since we lived in Vermont, as we forgot that gas stations close at dusk. ha – the jetta pulled through and got us ALL the way back into Burlington (closer to 30 miles away) without running out of gas – and gave us enough time to double back down to the after party so that we could say goodbye to everyone. go, jetta, go!
